One Dead, Two Injured in Early Morning Shooting in Clairton

A man was killed and two others wounded in a shooting early Sunday morning in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area, authorities confirmed.

Police were called to the 400 block of State Street in Clairton at 3:57 a.m. following reports of a "large disturbance" involving numerous people fighting in the street, according to a statement from the Allegheny County Police Department. Multiple police departments responded to the scene to assist in controlling the situation.

Around 4:10 a.m., shots were fired into the crowd, police said. One person was arrested at the scene, but authorities have not released any details about the suspect.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, attempted to flee the area in a car but crashed on State Street shortly before succumbing to his injuries, police reported.

Two other men were injured in the shooting. One sustained a gunshot wound to the arm, while the other was shot in the leg. Both victims were transported to nearby hospitals, where they are currently in stable condition, according to officials.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the Allegheny County Police Department is urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling the police department's tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
